Roscoe Dash Feels Cheated Out of Album Credits, Vents on Twitter

If you're familiar with catchy tunes like 2011's "All The Way Turnt Up", "Show Out" and then you're familiar with Atlanta based MC/Songwriter Roscoe Dash. Dash, (real name Jeffrey Johnson Jr.) at only 22 years of age has established himself as a go-to hook man (think last year's "No Hands" featuring Waka Flocka and Wale) and exceptionally talented with the pen. The problem is he's run into issues receiving album credits and royalties for big songs that he's allegedly penned.

On Thursday Dash took to Twitter to air out his frustrations to the world, tweeting, "Everybody go get the G.O.O.D album and listen to #1... & tell me y I'm not on the credits". The song he's referring to is called "To The World" featuring R. Kelly, the album opener to Kanye West's and G.O.O.D. Music's compilation CD entitled "Cruel Summer" which was released on Tuesday (9/18). Dash claims that he helped write the song but receives no credit in the album liner notes. He even claims that if you listen closely his original adlibs are still audible on the final version. After being taunted by MMG rapper Meek Mill (@meekmill) via Twitter, Dash went on to reveal that he also wrote the chorus for Wale's #1 hit "Lotus Flower Bomb" which features crooner Miguel on the hook of the final version. "The record went #1 & I wasn't credited," he wrote.

There's no denying Dash's talent and ability in the studio, however the credit for his work apparently isn't translating over. Perhaps it's because of his age? Or lack of experience in the business side of the game? Dash ended his frustrated rant with the following, "Can't do favors for niggas bcuz no matter how humble and generous u r to ppl niggas will take everything u have ... Even niggas u look up to," he wrote. "The most talented ppl get the least credit for everything and the crazy part is they put in the MOST work..."
